Niels van Eijk & Miriam van der Lubbe

Niels van Eijk and Miriam van der Lubbe work individually but they share a studio, based in rural Holland. Sometimes they collaborate in projects.

For the VIVID exhibition they will show a timeline with all their products, prototypes and sketches from the year 1997 till today.

Niels van Eijk, 1970, The Netherlands
Graduated at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1997. That year he started his design studio, working on several projects, such as product-, furniture- and interior design.

His work has been exhibited in Rotterdam, Milan, Eindhoven, New York, Taipei, Kortrijk, Munich, Amsterdam and London and has been purchased by various international galleries, Museum Boymans van Beuningen Rotterdam, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Centraal Museum Utrecht. His work has been nominated for several design prices and is part of the collection of Droog Design.

His already known Cowchair for Droog Design, the glass fibre Bobbin Lace Lamp, a lamp without a bulb, new furniture ,a shiny polished stainless steel Stove will be presented.

Miriam van der Lubbe, 1972, The Netherlands.
After graduating at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1995, she obtained a MA degree at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam in 1998. That year she started her design studio, working on several projects such as product-, furniture-, interior- and exhibition design. She also teaches product design at several Academies in The Netherlands.

Her work has been exhibited in a.o. Amsterdam, London, Copenhagen, New York, Helsinki, Milan, Munich, Cologne, Tokyo and Nagoya Japan. Work has been purchased by the Museum of Modern Art Arnhem and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and is in the collection of Hidden and Trico International Japan.

Her Tea Set, a porcelain set decorated by Van der Lubbe with golden stains and the Lady's Bag Me and My Beretta (collection Hidden) will be presented.
