DANCING MARBLE TABLES IN BASEL

Galerie VIVID, 15-21 June 2015, booth G30, Design Miami /Basel

In 2008 Galerie VIVID started to present in Basel and Miami. This year from 15 to 21 June at Design Miami / Basel will be the 11 th time.
Galerie VIVID presents a wide range of modern and contemporary works in Basel.
You will see the heavy marble low tables by Emmanuel Babled that can dance and after the dance rest perfectly horizontal. Janne Kyttanen made a 3D printed, 24k golden lamp for Galerie VIVID (edition of 8 + 2AP), Christie van de Haak worked with the famous Flanders Tapestries to make an impressive wall tapestry that will be introduced in Basel. And the young design talent Arnout Meijer made a new perspex work that looks like an artwork from the ZERO movement. Also Aldo Bakker, Richard Woods, Glithero, Richard Hutten and Babs Haenen are showing new work.
Chairs by Gerrit Rietveld and one chair by Kalman Lengyel, all designed in the 1930s, will represent the past. An old work by Lawrence Weiner will complete this suprising presentation.
